Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. Her feature film debut was a tiny part on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody became a model after the opportunity was offered by an aspiring photographer. She has since evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work. This was a principle she carried over to her acting. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for a new James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody was just turning age 18 at the time she was cast in the character of Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played a non-speaking part in the 1987 television adaptation of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character of Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody who was off acting for more than 10 years, came back in 2003 for a minor role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene at an award ceremony. The year 2004, she starred in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). In 2011, she was set to play the lead role in The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. In 2011, she started the first season of two in the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she received the Almeria tierra de cine award and was awarded an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
