Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top 3 throughout her events during the Olympics that took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
